We have also received We're Good to Go certification from VisitScotland regarding our COVID-19 compliance.

Housekeeping Quality Control Procedures

We also have stringent quality control procedures whereby all accommodation is checked by a Housekeeper or Housekeeping Supervisor using a quality control checklist. Further to this, we operate a further level of quality control whereby a Manager spot checks accommodation to ensure the highest standards of quality.

Enhanced protocols for Covid-19-specific criteria

This well-established quality checking procedure will continue, and, from July 15th, with an updated checklist of enhanced criteria so that we can monitor, not only the overall quality of clean, but also the compliance and quality of specific COVID-19-related practices.

Our Quality Control procedure regime means that we have an established regime for the introduction of additional tasks and actions that may come to light as we learn more about the virus and how best to protect ourselves and mitigate risk.

Our Housekeeping team is well practiced in the appropriate use of, including correct dosing, effective application, including appropriate “dwell time” and use of the right product for cleaning and sanitising each surface and environment.

Re-opening protocols

On top of our own deep clean protocol, Rentokil’s Coronavirus Specialist Disinfection Services visited Skene House to disinfect our public areas and accommodation:

“With the largest regional teams in the UK, Rentokil Property Care has partnered with its sister business Rentokil Specialist Hygiene to deliver a fast response and a professional and legally compliant specialist disinfection service.”

In addition we partnered with Room to Breathe, the first hospitality company in Scotland to do so, to trial their innovate system of Bio-touch and Sanification.

As part of the trial, Andersen Caledonia, the largest independent sterilisation company in the UK and Ireland, who have a unique system for surface testing of COVID-19, visited Skene House to test our public areas and accommodation. All our tests came back negative.

Housekeeping standards going forward

All our accommodation and public areas will be cleaned and serviced in accordance with the Scottish Government guidelines and in compliance with the UK hospitality industry’s national We’re Good to Go certification standards.
